The Chartering and Associated Services (CAS) department is looking for a Customs Manager responsible for the governance of all customs-related aspects, from proposal phase to execution, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met, and that customs clearance processes and guidelines are followed correctly.

The Chartering and Associated Services (CAS) department is looking for a Customs Manager responsible for the governance of all customs-related aspects, from proposal phase to execution, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met, and that customs clearance processes and guidelines are followed correctly.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Her/ His main missions are to:
- Develop and implement customs policies and procedures for T.EN
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations based on geographical zones and ensure that the company complies with relevant laws and regulations and monitor any changes that may impact T.ENs business
- Coordinate the creation of a customs classification database (HS/HTS codes, TARIC), for main proprietary technologies, modules, FPSOs, and major equipment.
- Perform classification of products and provide guidance on classification
- Review, negotiate, and validate customs clauses in the contracts globally, in line with the T.ENs strategy
- Estimate and review customs related costs at proposal stage, as may be required
- Determine customs valuation methodologies, in coordination with finance teams
- Provide advice to businesses on trade remedies (free trade zones, free trade agreements, special customs regimes, etc.)
- Develop customs training and guidance to employees across the company
- Conduct internal audits of customs processes and procedures to identify and mitigate risks and implement improvements
- Ensure compliance of projects with the T.EN Group regulations.
- Review existing procedures to provide guidance to other team members for the preparation and submission of customs documentation, such as import and export declarations, shipping manifests, etc.
- Resolve any customs related issues that may arise on projects as required
- Maintain relationships with customs brokers
- Interface with customs authorities , if required by management
- Liaise internally with Tax and Legal/ Compliance departments for all customs aspects
- Provide KPIs for customs activities and lessons learnt (contractual and operational) after each project
- Safeguard overall T.EN and the clients interests
- Enforce Group QA and HSE practices
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as international trade, logistics, or business administration
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in projects with experience managing customs processes on large EPC contracts
- Excellent knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, including knowledge of free trade agreements, rules of origin, and customs valuation methods
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and identify areas of risk
- Good communication skills and ability to interface and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work with complex data and documentation
