We are currently seeking a Electrical PCC Superintendent, reporting directly to Commissioning Manager to join our team based in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.

About the opportunity we offer:
The Electrical PCC Superintendent is responsible for leading and overseeing all pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for the electrical systems of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant. This key position ensures the safe and efficient installation, testing, and operation of all Power Control Center (PCC) equipment and its associated systems, strictly adhering to project timelines and safety standards.

The Electrical PCC Superintendent is responsible for leading and overseeing all pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for the electrical systems of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant. This key position ensures the safe and efficient installation, testing, and operation of all Power Control Center (PCC) equipment and its associated systems, strictly adhering to project timelines and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision: Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers and technicians during the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases.
- Planning: Develop and execute detailed plans for continuity, insulation, and functional testing of PCC equipment, including transformers, medium and low-voltage switchgear, and distribution panels.
- Test Execution: Supervise and, when necessary, directly participate in field testing, ensuring that all approved commissioning protocols are followed.
- Safety Management: Rigorously implement and enforce electrical safety protocols (lockout/tagout, hot work permits, etc.) to protect personnel and equipment.
- Documentation: Ensure all technical documentation, test records, and operational manuals are complete, up-to-date, and accurate.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve any electrical issues that arise during the start-up phase.
- Coordination: Work closely with other departments (Instrumentation, Mechanical, Operations) and contractors to coordinate activities and resolve interfaces.
- Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to the Commissioning Manager, highlighting progress, risks, and any deviations from the plan.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in commissioning and start-up of large-scale industrial plants, preferably in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation sectors.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of power distribution systems, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), relay protection systems, and electrical substations.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and work under pressure in large-scale project environments.
- Language: Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is mandatory to communicate with international teams and review technical documentation.
- Availability: Willingness to work extended hours as required by the start-up phase.
