- Metrologist (Onshore) shall perform activities in connection with control over metrological support, specifically, in area of measurement instrumentation purposed for the process of oil and gas production, referring to operation of oil and gas wells, pumping units, separation equipment purposed for oil, gas, and water.
- Shall ensure control over the certification process of onshore production facilities in the area of safety and industrial safety, in accordance with state standards of Turkmenistan.
- Must control and carry a registration of hydraulic testing on pressure vessels and pipeline system (oil transportation pipelines) documentation control. Shall register all technical data inputs, service and maintenance records in technical passports of the specified equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs various kinds of measurements during experiments and tests of products manufactured by the enterprise, when checking technological equipment for compliance with established accuracy standards, special measurements during technological processes, as well as calculations of the economic efficiency of introducing new measurement tools and methods. Participates in the development of measuring instruments for special purposes, in conducting departmental verification of working standards, metrological certification and verification of non-standardized measuring instruments. Carries out metrological control over the correct installation, installation, use and condition of measuring instruments in the enterprise units. Carries out timely submission of initial samples of measuring instruments for state calibration and repair, organizes the receipt and delivery of verified measuring instruments, prepares the results of verification and draws up the relevant technical documentation.
- Carries out work on maintaining a fund of standards and other regulatory documents governing the accuracy of measurements, methods and means of verification. Carries out calculations of the needs of the enterprise units in measuring instruments, participates in the preparation of applications for their acquisition. It keeps operational records of measuring instruments, their movements, systematizes and processes the data necessary for preparing reports on the implementation of plans for metrological support of production.
- Assist in assessment of knowledge on labour protection and industrial safety, in accordance with legislations of Turkmenistan for local employees as requested by line supervisor.
- Comply with and follow DOTL's established PTW procedures, rules and regulations.
- Conscientiously fulfill his/her job duties assigned to him/her by an employment contract and job description;
- Carry out written and oral orders (instructions) of the Employer that do not contradict the Legislation of Turkmenistan, the internal labor regulations of the company, the employment contract, the collective agreement (agreement);
Education
Qualification Requirements:
- A Metrologist ( Onshore) must hold preferably higher technical education degree, with required work experience in related fiedls (including TDS).
