Years of Experience
- Metrologist (Offshore) shall perform activities in connection with control over metrological support, specifically, in area of measurement instrumentation purposed for the process of oil and gas production, referring to operation of oil and gas wells, pumping units, separation equipment purposed for oil, gas, and water.
- Shall ensure control over the certification process of offshore production facilities in the area of safety and industrial safety, in accordance with state standards of Turkmenistan.
- Must control and carry a registration of hydraulic testing on pressure vessels and pipeline system (oil transportation pipelines) documentation control. Shall register all technical data inputs, service and maintenance records in technical passports of the specified equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform work on arrangement of metrological support of the oil field at offshore production facilities.
- Participate in preparation of plans on metrological support of production and plans for organizational and technical actions on improvement of metrological support, means and methods of measurement at the enterprise.
- Prepare local verification schemes for the types of measurements, establish the frequency of verification of measuring instruments and develop calendar schedules for their implementation.
- Execute metrological assessment of design and technological documentation, developed at the enterprise and received from other enterprises; to execute metrological certification of instrumentation in oil production, referring to operation of oil and gas wells, pumping units, separation equipment purposed for oil, gas, and water.
- Participate in the preparation of technical tasks, purposed of the design and development of specialized measuring instruments, in the assessment of reasons of violation of technological operational process, inefficient expenditure of raw materials, energy and other losses in production associated with the state of measuring instruments, control and testing.
- Assess complex measuring instruments, belonging to process equipment, on compliance with established accuracy standards, prepare conclusions and feedbacks based on the results of such measurements.
- Assess the needs of the company in measuring instruments, and create consolidated purchase requisition.
- Convey mandatory control over conditions and correctness of installation, assembly and use of measuring instruments, technical acceptance of newly delivered measuring instruments.
Education
Qualification Requirements:
- A Metrologist (Onshore) must hold preferably higher technical education degree, with required work experience in related fields (including TDS).
