In this pivotal role, you'll help shape the success of large, complex projects by driving cost, schedule, and risk management excellence. If you're analytical, organised, and thrive in cross-functional environments, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing input to bid proposals, prepare estimates as required and allocate budget to committed funds.
- Providing and applying cost, budget and schedule control techniques and analysis to Engineering Services projects.
- Providing planning and master scheduling services to major clients across various industries.
- Applying risk management techniques including risk register development, contingency planning and contingency management.
- Collaborating with Project Managers, Project Controllers and Schedulers to deliver budget management frameworks, processes and tools.
- Establish and leverage cross-discipline relationships within the business group to facilitate cost control.
- Support project compliance and governance standards for best practice requirements.
- Managing client Monthly Financial Reporting including preparing estimates, foresting, and providing input into Monthly Project Status Reports
- Recommending cost control/schedule improvements, cost breakdowns and commercial oversight through utilisation of experience and problem-solving skills, in collaboration with the wider Project Controls team.

The ideal candidate for this role is a skilled and passionate professional wanting to progress your career with a growing global consulting business.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering, Project Management or related construction discipline or considerable experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience essential.
- Demonstrated experience in Project Controls as a Cost Controller/Scheduler on major multi-disciplinary projects.
- Experience with gated and milestone projects, variations, costs, contingency allowances and contingency management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of our organisation.
- Advanced Excel proficiency is a must.
- Proven experience in Earned Value Management, Estimate at Complete and revenue recognition in line with percent complete.
- Familiarity with P6 and MS Project is highly advantageous.
- Detailed knowledge of industry best practices in project controls, including estimating, cost control and planning/scheduling, for Engineering Services type projects.
- Ability to work independently while working in a team.
- Attentive to detail and having a commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to obtain an Australian Government security clearance is highly regarded.
