Technical Qualifications & Certifications
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Required by federal law in the U.S. to handle refrigerants)
- HVAC Technical Training/Degree (Trade school diploma or associate degree in HVAC or mechanical engineering technology)
- State or Local HVAC License
Experience
- Experience in the field (2-5 years)
- Experience with Specific Systems (commercial, split systems, VRF/VRV, heat pumps, etc.) Lenux, Trane
- Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Skills of HVAC and refrigeration equipment (furnaces, air conditioners, ductwork, thermostats, refrigerators and freezers, etc.)
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics (ability to identify and resolve complex HVAC and refrigeration issues)
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of HVAC Codes & Regulations and being knowledgeable in refrigeration and freezer Equipment
- Proficient with Tools & Equipment (gauges, multimeters, leak detectors)
- Ability to Read Technical Diagrams
- Familiarity with Smart HVAC Systems (smart thermostats, EKTOS, Trane, etc.)
- Basic Electrical and Plumbing Knowledge

- Customer Service Skills (polite, professional communication)
- Problem-Solving Ability

- Physical Fitness (ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined or high spaces)
