This Position reports to:
R&D Team Lead
Several works have investigated control synthesis and automatic trajectory/motion planning from temporal logics for applications including drones, mobile navigation, and some initial work for robotic manipulation tasks.
With the advent of LLMs, this problem becomes increasingly interesting as natural language task descriptions can be translated into temporal logic (TL) specifications using the formal modelling languages. This potentially bridges human-intuitive instructions with formal logic-based planning to enable automated trajectory generation.

- Location: Västerås, Finnslätten on site
The goals of this thesis would be to:
- Investigate the current state of control synthesis or trajectory/motion planning from TL for industrial manipulators.
- Investigate the use of LLMS to convert natural language task descriptions can be translated into TL specification.
- Propose and implement some form of control synthesis/trajectory planning from TL.
- Implement and evaluate full natural language task descriptions to control synthesis or trajectory/motion planning via TL pipeline.
Your background
- Master of Science in Computer Science, Robotics, or similar
- Basic knowledge in LLM's
- Knowledge in C/C++
