SLB Cambridge Research (SCR) is part of SLB's global network of research and engineering centres. SCR is a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with state-of-the-art research and computing facilities. We work on applied research projects in the physical sciences to meet the current and future challenges of the industry.
Description & Scope:
You'll be part of a close-knit team within the 'Electro-Chemical Technologies' group, working on a fascinating project that involves theoretical investigations into multiphase complex fluid flows.
This is an opportunity to work with numerical simulations, using techniques like the finite volume method, to study transport phenomena (heat and mass) across gas, liquid, and solid phases. This is more than just an internship-it's your chance to work on real-world challenges that have the potential to transform industries!

Responsibilities:
- Conducting numerical simulations using OpenFOAM solvers
- Analyzing and interpreting complex datasets
- Collaborating with a team of scientists on ongoing research projects
- Writing detailed technical reports and presenting your findings to peers
- Engaging in exciting theoretical discussions around fluid mechanics and multiphase flows
Qualifications :
- Masters in Aerodynamics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline
- Numerical background; experience with OpenFOAM and ANSYS
- Proficient in mesh generation (blockMesh, SnappyHexMesh desirable)
- Knowledge of geometry optimization techniques is a plus.
