Job Description:

What's the role

As the Planning Lead, you will operationalize the 'end to end' performance of the PH Lubricants business. The Philippines, being a full import market, sources all our lubricant products from multiple source plants across the globe. Successful candidate must develop strong business partnerships across organizational boundaries to agree on and execute priority areas in enhancing customer experience, for effective end-to-end collaboration and delivering brilliant basics. This role will execute the Polaris PH Supply Chain (SC) strategy alongside the Integrated Planning Community, 3PL Contract Managers, and PH LSC Manager while collaborating across functions including Sales, Customer Operations, Marketing, and Finance to drive efficiencies and maximize growth and profitability.

What you'll be doing

The Planning Lead while having an extensive scope has 3 main functions:

Supply Planning & Coordination

  • Uses the demand plan to develop a clear Forward Plan that details the supply/import requirements for the PH (across all COBs).
  • Coordinates with the multiple source plants to determine production planning requirements based on the S&OP cycle timing.
  • Conducts supply feasibility assessments & recommends possible trade-offs to ensure maximum margin delivery.
  • Manages the overall supply requirements of the PH.
  • Complexity of >350 SKUs that are currently sourced from 9 different source plants.
  • Leads the management of PH inventory and working capital optimization plan to ensure that we have the right mix between a customer-based stocking strategy & just-in-time plan.
  • Plays a key role in defining and designing the evolving logistics route-to-market model of the PH. Supply lead time and requirements play a critical role for our full import model.
  • This position is also expected to carry out the deployment activities within the RDC and warehouses within PH, ensuring the correct inventory is moved from source to destination location by Logistics. This role will also coordinate any communication of stock availability information to Customer Service in relation to Large and Urgent orders as placed by customers.

Operational Excellence

  • Leads the execution of the stocking strategy across all the PH warehouses and hubs.
  • Enables key operational and customer specific KPI's such as OTIF, CSI and DCSI.
  • Driver of Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) in accordance with working capital optimization plan at SKU and depot level.
  • Driver of Product Lifecycle Management metrics on Portfolio Health, Tail Stock & Excess stock management are within current best-in-class parameters.

3P Toll Filler Contract Management

  • Manages 3 outside Shell supply point contracts.
  • Leads the development and deployment of the 3P Toll Filler contract to supply the existing & pipelined products required by S&M to meet the growing market demands.

  • Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Trading & Supply Operations, Sales, and Customer Operations are an advantage.
  • Having knowledge on a subset of these areas is preferred:
    • Supply and Importation planning
    • Managing Relationships / Stakeholders and influencing skills.
    • Supply Chain Integration & Optimization.
    • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Continuous Improvement mindset, delivery driven.
    • Experience with volume forecast simulation techniques.
