Your Role and Responsibilities

We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in the Distribution Solutions division in Vaasa Finland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct proactive business development aligned with the division's strategy in selected account customers where business conditions require increased attention and focus.

As a Business Development Manager, you will provide business support expertise in products, applications, solutions as well as segment and customer (group) support for Grid Automation Protection and Control product portfolio. In this role your assigned business segment can be Renewable and BESS, or Marine depending on your background and interests. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring profitable business growth and sustainable deployment of the division's strategic plan. This role also includes frequent global travel, approximately 100+ days annually.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Managing customer specifications and approvals as well as customer relationships with both internal and external customers,
  • Managing customer investment portfolios, customer promotions and customer attention
  • Ensuring that strategies and business plans are aligned with the overall division strategy to achieve defined targets
  • Overseeing the implementation of activities for agreed cross-divisional, product group, and regional initiatives
  • Supporting the organization in the execution of product launches and customer events when required


Qualifications for the Role
  • BSc or MSc level degree from a relevant field, such as Electric Engineering, Business Administration or similar
  • Previous skills or motivation to develop yourself with electric power products and the Marine or Renewable segment
  • Ability to manage large networks of business stakeholders with a driven attitude and independent approach
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in business development and sales growth
  • An active, energetic, passionate, and open approach to work
  • Professional communication and presentation skills with fluency in English
  • Capability to continuously develop yourself to gain understanding on new products, skills, and markets
  • Experience from an international environment, protection and control devices, additional language skills and/or knowledge on Marine, Renewables or BESS market are seen as a strong advantage
