About the Position: Responsibilities may include:1. Reviewing and processing tax returns, vehicle titles or other documents and information to verify accuracy and/or correct errors2. Processing applications3. Assisting taxpayers with payments, returns, applications and general tax information4. Reviewing reports for discrepancies5. Purchasing of materials, supplies, and equipment6. Performing entry level clerical accounting functions7. Providing support as an administrative assistant8. Other tasks as assigned
What you'll need to be Successful: The ability to learn the complexities of tax administration as indicated by the task, by making wise, informed decisions and correctly executing tax policies and procedures which promote taxpayer compliance and tax revenue collection in accordance with the State's tax statutes. Be proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer software. Ability to communicate with taxpayers and tax professionals in verbal and written form. Ability to multitask and manage assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 4 years of experience
