About the Role

We are looking for a motivated HBO (Chemical) Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team in Coevorden, Netherlands. You will work in a small, dedicated team of three professionals performing cement testing for the oil, gas, and geothermal industries.

What you will do

• Perform quality control (QC) testing of oil-well cement slurries in accordance with API Spec 10 standards.
• Prepare and analyze samples, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SLB procedures.
• Record and report test results clearly and precisely.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and follow health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Support ongoing lab operations, including potential stand-by duties outside normal working hours or weekends.

What we are looking for

• HBO degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A hands-on and detail-oriented approach to laboratory work.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (required for communication and technical documentation).
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a laboratory environment.
• Able to work in standby working schedule whenever necessary
• Creativity and ability to work independently
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office word, excel, outlook)
• Right to work in The Netherland
