Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Fire, Safety, Electrical, Physics or Mathematics).
Years of Experience:
Minimum Ten (10) years’ experience in production or engineering of oil and gas facilities, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Technical Safety Engineering.
Knowledge of Physical Effects Modelling and Quantitative Risk Assessment, experience with Shell FRED and SHEPHERD software is preferred.
Able to facilitate Technical Safety Engineering workshops. These may include HAZID, Bow-Ties, ALARP, SIMOPs, and Facility Layout and Siting. Knowledge of HAZOP and SIL classification.
Developing ALARP demonstrations for Technical/Process Safety risks and developing HSE Cases.
Knowledge of SA standards and guidelines, including Sour Gas design and operations standards and guidelines.
Experience with project tech safety management implementation. Previous project experience is expected.
Knowledge of Fire Protection standards and guidelines.
Effective communicator who can influence key stakeholders.
