Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Fire, Safety, Electrical, Physics or Mathematics). 

Years of Experience: 
Minimum Ten (10) years’ experience in production or engineering of oil and gas facilities, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Technical Safety Engineering.
Knowledge of Physical Effects Modelling and Quantitative Risk Assessment, experience with Shell FRED and SHEPHERD software is preferred.
Able to facilitate Technical Safety Engineering workshops.  These may include HAZID, Bow-Ties, ALARP, SIMOPs, and Facility Layout and Siting. Knowledge of HAZOP and SIL classification.
Developing ALARP demonstrations for Technical/Process Safety risks and developing HSE Cases.
Knowledge of SA standards and guidelines, including Sour Gas design and operations standards and guidelines.
Experience with project tech safety management implementation. Previous project experience is expected.
Knowledge of Fire Protection standards and guidelines.
Effective communicator who can influence key stakeholders.
