This Position reports to:
Quality Manager

The intern will work at our plastic injection molding plant. Their main responsibility is to support the activities of the manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement team.

The internship will take place at the ABB Transcan site located in Pointe-Claire. This facility specializes in injection molding and the assembly of electrical products. It focuses on automation, sustainability, and innovation to support local production and provide a dynamic work environment.

Your Role: Take on the Challenge

• Participate in the implementation of the 5S system and the organization of workstations
• Contribute to projects aimed at improving operational processes and material flow
• Support operations based on priorities: non-conformity analysis, audits, optimization of work tools
• Ensure follow-up and coordination of tasks related to improvement projects
• Align with ABB's core values of safety and integrity, meaning taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the company

What You Need:

• Student in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering (minimum of 2 years completed)
• Proficiency in computer tools (Office Suite, MRP, AutoCAD)
• Knowledge of Lean principles and 5S methodology (an asset)
• Attention to detail, rigor, and analytical mindset
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Collaborative leadership and team-oriented attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Essential bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written); French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
