Our FAO (Finance & Accounting Operation) Trainee Program is a three-year elite talent development initiative designed to provide you with a comprehensive view and solid experience in the core finance function of a global enterprise. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to support the business, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to the company's strategic objectives. Each day, you will learn and grow by performing practical tasks under the guidance of the program manager/corresponding leader, demonstrating your expertise through participation in ABB's operations.

Your role and responsibilities

You will be primarily accountable for supporting the implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of FAO services within the defined area. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Rotational Learning & Practice: You will undergo a systematic rotational training, diving into various core areas of financial operations:
  
  • Phase 1 (6 months): Master Data Management
    
    • Maintain customer and vendor master data, performing data cleansing and compliance checks.
    • Collaborate with the IS/MDG team to test master data system upgrades and deliver test reports.
    • Maintain and update Master Data Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Phase 2 (9 months): Procurement to Pay
    
    • Independently process invoice verification and manage the exception invoice pool.
    • Participate in global supplier invoice system improvement projects.
  • Phase 3 (9 months): Order to Cash
    
    • Be responsible for customer payment reconciliation and preliminary analysis of discrepancies.
    • Assist in managing customer aging reports and tracking.
  • Phase 4 (12 months): Record to Report
    
    • Participate in the monthly/year-end closing process, preparing basic journal entries.
    • Assist in the preparation of statutory reports and supporting schedules.
• Project Delivery & Collaboration: Deliver assigned tasks and projects on time and with high quality during the rotations.
• Personal & Leadership Development: Actively participate in formal training to develop personal and leadership skills in preparation for future professional roles.
• Team Integration & Networking: Engage in various social events and team-building activities, using the chance to establish a broad network within ABB.

Qualifications for the role

We are looking for a passionate and eager-to-learn emerging talent. The successful candidate should possess:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in Japanese, Korean, German, or Spanish will be a strong advantage.
• You are skilled with one or more of the following tools and passionate about technology-driven efficiency: Power BI, Excel VBA macros, Python, or C++.
• We value individuals who demonstrate: strong logical thinking, quick learning agility, effective communication, resilience under pressure, and excellent teamwork skills.
• Willingness to accept short-term domestic or international assignments.

  • 阶段一(6个月):主数据管理
    
    • 维护客户及供应商主数据,执行数据质量清洗与合规性校验。
    • 协同IS/MDG团队测试主数据系统升级,并输出测试报告。
    • 维护及更新主数据标准操作规程。
  • 阶段二(9个月):应付账款
    
    • 独立处理发票校验,并管理异常票据池。
    • 参与全球供应商发票系统改进项目,贡献您的力量。
  • 阶段三(9个月):应收账款
    
    • 负责客户收款对账以及差异的初步分析。
    • 协助管理客户账龄并进行追踪。
  • 阶段四(12个月):总账会计
    
    • 参与月度/年度结账流程,编制基础会计分录。
    • 协助编制法定报表及附注数据底稿。
• 项目交付与协作: 在轮岗期间,按时高质量地完成指定的任务和项目。
• 个人与领导力发展: 积极参与正式培训,发展个人及领导技能,为未来的专业角色做好准备。
• 团队融合与 networking: 积极参与各类社交活动和团队建设,借此机会在ABB内部建立广泛的人际网络。
