As Intern - Facility Engineer you will join the Brindisi Facilities Department. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in waste management, environmental compliance and facility operations while contributing to meaningful projects and supporting the implementation of the FLIGHT DECK operating model.

As Intern - Facility Engineer you will join the Brindisi Facilities Department. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in waste management, environmental compliance and facility operations while contributing to meaningful projects and supporting the implementation of the FLIGHT DECK operating model.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Chemical Inventory Management: Assist the Facility team in identifying and inventorying quarantined chemical products
- Environmental Compliance: Study applicable environmental manuals and internal documentation to ensure compliance with local legislation and EHS standards
- Waste Management Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed records of waste management activities, including: technical reports on waste characterization (UE N. 2014/955/CE), waste classification assessments (UE N. 1357/2014, N. 997/2017)
- Software Integration: Collaborate with Facility and EHS teams to define and create records in the Waste Management Software system for all chemical materials
- Process Improvement: Bring fresh ideas and contribute positively to improving current processes
- FLIGHT DECK Contribution: Support the implementation of the FLIGHT DECK operating model, contributing to improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) through the application of lean principles and continuous improvement tools
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Curious, eager to learn, and proactive in contributing to team efforts
- Fluent in Italian and good knowledge of English
- Clear Thinker: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
