BD Operations - Lead Generation Specialist

About the role: As Lead Generation Specialist, you'll help drive revenue growth by identifying and qualifying new commercial opportunities across Pharmaron's Discovery, Preclinical, CMC platforms and radiolabelled services . Acting as the first point of contact for potential clients, you'll collaborate with BD and technical teams to expand our reach across biotech, pharma, and emerging therapeutic companies.
You'll manage inbound inquiries, nurture early-stage leads, and support pipeline development through strategic outreach and market insights.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on building connections, spotting opportunities, and helping shape the future of Pharmaron's commercial success.

Engage inbound leads from website inquiries, marketing campaigns, and conferences. Qualify opportunities before passing them to BD Managers. Client outreach:

Key roles and responsibilities:
Lead Qualification & Nurturing
- Identify and research prospective biotech, pharma, and emerging modality companies aligned with Pharmaron's services.
- Conduct targeted outreach via LinkedIn, email, events, and digital platforms.
- Perform qualification calls to assess scope, timelines, funding, and decision-making structure.
Pipeline & CRM Management
- CRM Management: Track, prioritize, and maintain accurate lead data to support forecasting and reporting.
- Relationship Building: Act as the first point of contact for smaller clients and early-stage discussions, ensuring a professional and customer-focused experience.
- Collaboration & Strategy: Align outreach with BD, Marketing, and Operations initiatives. Provide market insights by researching target companies, decision-makers, and industry trends.
- Reporting & KPIs: Track and report on outreach activity, engagement, qualified leads, and conversion metrics. Deliver against KPIs such as meetings booked and pipeline growth.
Requirements:
- MSc in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related life science field (PhD is preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience within CRO/CDMO or in the pharma sector.
- Understanding of drug development pathways across Discovery, Preclinical, and CMC stages.
- Curious and scientifically minded with commercial instincts.
- Team player: Works well with colleagues, supporting team goals and contributing to a positive work environment
- Experience in supporting business development activities such as lead generation in the CRO/CDMO sector is desirable
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and digital outreach tools (LinkedIn Navigator, email sequencing platforms) is desirable
