Title: Application Engineer Power Generation

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Application Engineer Power Generation with 5+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Must excel in both electrical and mechanical systems and demonstrate keen interest in power generation technologies. Proficiency in gaseous-fired engines is essential, with diesel engine experience preferred. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing engine generator power generation systems for efficiency, reliability, and industry compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer natural gas engine generator systems, including mechanical and electrical system design and integration for stationary and mobile generator sets.
  • Provide technical support for quote development.
  • Support Sales by interfacing with customers to resolve technical issues and product questions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and performance analyses to optimize power generation efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power generation systems into larger infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and troubleshooting procedures to ensure ongoing reliability of power generation equipment.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in power generation to inform design decisions and improve system performance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field service teams during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring that power generation systems meet all applicable safety and environmental standards.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation to support project planning, execution, and regulatory compliance.
  • Create and maintain product BOMs

Specific Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with gaseous fired engines is required, with familiarity with diesel engines preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to stand, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Eye Protection consists of goggles, face shield or safety glasses.
  • Steel Toe Safety Shoe/Boot required.

Work Environment:
  • Warehouse Environment.
  • Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals
