JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform surface preparation activities including masking and sanding of products before painting or sandblasting
• Carry out blasting and spray-painting operations, including applying preparatory undercoating
• Clean and maintain paint shop equipment such as blast pots, air lines, fluid lines, paint pots, paint guns, and respirators
• Ensure all coatings are applied in accordance with NOV paint specifications or specific customer requirements
• Clean and store empty paint containers for proper disposal
• Maintain and replace paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as required
• Properly contain and manage hazardous waste generated from paint shop operations
• Under general supervision, spray paint small and large component parts prior to assembly and final coating
• Comply with NOV company and HSE policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to proper safety practices
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial blasting and painting

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Willing and able to work overtime as required - including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to following all safety regulations and procedures
• Adaptable and open to cross-training to learn various job duties
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working in a factory setting with a wide range of temperature variations
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled facility
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements for up to 12 hours per day
