This Position reports to:
Local Division Manager - Drives Products and System Drives

In this role, you will be responsible for sales of Variable Speed Drives within the Queensland and NT region. You should be passionate about building long-term customer relationships and managing customer needs to resolve issues and support the positive development of their business and partnership with ABB.

Reporting to the Local Division Manager, you will have a strong track record of identifying and successfully acquiring sales opportunities, and a growth mindset focused on increasing market share through the conversion of our competitor customer base.
  • Selling drives and systems with a focus on volume, mix, profitability, and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Building relationships with key customers and influencers to capture new business and support multi-channel proposals.
  • Driving knowledge sharing and collaboration across divisions and countries while prioritizing major opportunities in the Mining segment.
  • Maintaining sales strategy and CRM updates, supporting contract negotiations, and ensuring technical and financial accuracy in offers.


Your background
  • Bachelor's in Engineering or similar is preferred.
  • Product knowledge and understanding of drives technology to support customers
  • Previous experience in Business Development Management and Sales
  • Understanding of QLD/NT Mining customer base
  • Knowledge of Mining applications
  • Ideally experience in Sales Force will be highly regarded.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
