In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Reviews, drafts and negotiates agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, with minimal supervision by more senior Contract Services staff, including in:
- Responding, within established guidelines, to customers, vendor qualification documents, and contractual requests.
- Drafting and negotiating with customers, appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties.
- Takes the Contracts Lead role on
- Less complex international and multi-business project contracts.
- Less complex frame agreements
- Takes the Contracts Lead role (including the Global Contracts Lead role on accounts) on more complex projects and frames agreements as experience develops.
- Interfaces with customers, members of the legal team and other Emerson stakeholders to bring deals to closure.
- Analyses business, financial, and legal risks.
- Research information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports.
- Provides contract-related guidance to Sales, Project Management and other stakeholders.
- Participates in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Proven experience in a contract-related role
- Bachelor's Degree in related fields
- Completion of World's Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Training Program to Practitioner Level strongly preferred
- Experienced negotiation skills
- Extensive knowledge of Contract law & principles
- Commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment & freight terms, documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Excellent oral and written English language skills, French and/or Arabic are an advantage
