Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead/support the electromagnetic design and analysis of electric machines
- Collaborate with interfacing disciplines of electric machine design and support test as well as data validation
- Support the electric machine concept and tool development as well as system integration for hybrid-electric applications
Required Qualifications
- MS in electrical engineering or related fields with academic knowledge in permanent magnet generators/motors
- Proven expertise in 2D/3D electromagnetic finite element analysis, preferably ANSYS (Maxwell 2D/Maxwell 3D) as well as in Matlab and/or Python
- Electric machine and/or system design experience, preferably in hybrid-electric applications, and hands-on validation through prototyping and laboratory testing.
- Proven ability to think systemically and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Characteristics
- Industrial and/or aerospace experience
- Familiarity with converter duty and high voltage electrical insulation for electrical machine applications
- Familiarity in inverter/machine interaction as well as system integration & test
- Experience in managing technology projects
