As a global market leader, we'll give you what you need to make it happen. It won't always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you'll never run alone. Run what runs the world.
This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. R&D Team Lead
Within ABB Robotics R&D System and Test department we are proposing a master thesis next spring semester. One of the department's focus areas is to develop the software test infrastructure, tools, and methodologies.
Background
Today robot controller software (RobotWare) is tested with several thousand regression and validation tests that are running during nighttime. This is efficient to find logic errors and other bugs. But to analyze every test run is a tedious job that needs improvement
There is a need for a new way to analyze test results and create bugs in an automatic way.
Description
Development of a tool/algorithm/bot that analyzes software test results from automatic test runs.
The tool should analyze result logs, re-run failing test(s) on different platforms/builds, find suspected changesets and more to create a report with links to an existing bug report or possibly create a new bug report.
