Join Our Service Transition Programme as an IT Transition Project Manager
We're seeking an experienced IT Transition Project Manager to lead a critical service transition initiative. This role will drive the discovery and documentation of existing IT services, infrastructure, and support models, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to validate service inventories and operational processes.
You'll assess organisational and technical readiness for transition to managed services, develop comprehensive readiness plans, and coordinate change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption and minimal disruption.
As the transition progresses, you'll manage execution activities including knowledge transfer, provider onboarding, and cutover planning-ensuring continuity of service and successful handover to operational teams. Post-transition, you'll oversee early life support and monitor service performance to ensure stability and quality outcomes.

- Develop and manage detailed transition and transformation plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Lead service transition activities including knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and service acceptance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, operations, vendors, business units) to ensure smooth execution.
- Define and implement transition governance, including risk management, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Monitor progress against KPIs and SLAs, ensuring services meet agreed performance standards.
- Conduct post-transition reviews to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL and other relevant frameworks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT service transition or transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of ITIL, service management frameworks, and managed service models.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, MSP).
- Experience in vendor management and contract transition is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage complex transitions involving multiple stakeholders and service domains.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
- ITIL Foundation or higher certification desirable.
