Air Liquide Medical Systems si occupa di dispositivi medici per la cura ed il trattamento delle patologie respiratorie.

La società sviluppa, produce e vende prodotti innovativi in tre diversi settori della medicina respiratoria:

Ventilazione con i ventilatori e dispositivi di interfaccia paziente (maschere) per trattamenti intensivi, in emergenza e trasporto nonché nella terapia domiciliare
Apparecchi per aerosolterapia
Dispositivi per il confezionamento e l'erogazione gas medicali

Descrizione ruolo e principali attività

We are looking for an engineer with product development and project management skills to join an R&D team in a medical devices company focused on innovations

You'll be part of a primary international company as a member of our young and dynamic engineering team and you will contribute to the design of cutting-edge products.

To be successful in this position, you should have previous experience in medium complexity product development with strong requirements in terms of user-experience, comfort, ergonomy realized in engineering plastics crafted with injection mould technology.

You need to have at least an academic background on FEA in mechanical engineering, in order to be able to run simulations anticipating design performance and identifying possible issues. A previous proven working experience is considered a plus.

The medical field is very challenging in terms of applicable standards and technical documentation to be developed and regularly updated. These activities are required and part of the daily activities. You must be able to read standards, perform tests and create test reports. Candidates with previous experience on medical devices conformity will be preferred.

You'll have the responsibility to create a project development plan: define and schedule main tasks together with different stakeholders both internal and external. You'll also need to ensure the respect of timing.

Responsibilities

• Definition of the product requirement together with the marketing team
• Feasibility study of a new product development
• Propose new innovative patentable ideas
• Apply a DTC approach for new and reviewed products to reduce unit costs
• Ensure compliance with the company's safety standards
• Ensure products are users and environment friendly
• Run FEA to identify possible design issue, propose alternative solutions
• Mange the relation with suppliers to realize prototypes with the most recently additive manufacturing technologies
• Analyze prototypes data and test them if needed
• Manage documentation of both new and revised 3D designs
• Write detailed reports
• Assess the quality control on components and prepare check lists
• Develop technical documentation according to EU regulations to grant CE certification

Profilo e competenze

Requirements

• Previous experience in R&D teams developing products
• Good understanding of safety standards and environmental and ergonomics impact of a design
• At least a basic knowledge on design of injection moulds for engineering polymers and elastomers
• Proven knowledge of finite element analysis in mechanical engineering, knowledge of a tool among the most important
• Ability to report in front of management
• Good oral and written communication
• Master degree in mechanical, biomechanical, biomedical or material engineer
• Intermediate English language (B2 or more)
• Driving license
