Are you passionate about tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and making a real difference in communities? We're looking for an experienced Community Safety Officer to join our dedicated team on a 12-month FTC, this is a newly created role following a period of growth within the organisation. This role is central to our ASB response, managing a varied caseload including the most complex and serious incidents, while providing vital support to customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Operating within a hybrid model (two days in the office and three days working from home), you'll play a key role in delivering our ASB service, ensuring cases are handled promptly, professionally, and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Ideally, you'll bring previous experience in managing ASB cases within a housing context, along with a solid understanding of the legislation and tools available to resolve these issues.
Key Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a complex ASB caseload. You'll need to be confident when dealing with challenging behaviour and experienced in preparing case reports and legal documentation. Experience within the housing sector, particularly in ASB management, is preferred, as is the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively.
Your success in this role will depend on your ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and develop practical, problem-solving responses to ASB issues. A strong understanding of landlord and tenant law and its application to tenancy and ASB management is essential.
Why Join Us?
