Responsibilities
Costain has secured a programme delivery partner contract within the Nuclear Fuels Sector, supporting the delivery of upgrades and new facilities across the fuel production cycle on a nuclear licenced site. This is an opportunity to be involved in a diverse programme that is critical to the nuclear sector.
Costain will provide management and engineering expertise to support the client organisation, via an integrated Contract Management Office for the planning and delivery of over 40 projects in a five-year period. We will also be responsible for the delivery of design and site works on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis.
Based between our office in Manchester and the client's site in Chester, with some site based and hybrid working roles, we have flexible work options. Talented individuals from a range of engineering, delivery and operational backgrounds will be required to form a high performing team.
Applicants are expected to achieve baseline and SC security levels and be willing to work within an integrated team at the client's premises for the programme management and delivery roles.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the delivering of series of multi-discipline projects, reporting to the Delivery Lead. The Project Manager will be expected to shape the end-to-end strategy for the delivery of their scopes, and look to bring efficiencies through reviewing their scopes as a whole, opposed to individual projects. This role will also interact with multiple stakeholders including client and contractors, requiring a great degree of self and time management.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, have high levels of drive and motivation, and prioritise their workload efficiently, which will be crucial to succeeding in this role.
As a Project Manager you will ensure that the projects are delivered within the given timescales and budgets, and to the required quality, whilst identifying, managing, and mitigating risk.
Less experienced individuals with the right behaviours may be considered in a development role.
