Are you an expert in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering with experience in supporting Industrial, Mission Critical or Life Sciences CAPEX projects?

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Germany. With excellent team leadership skills, you have a proven ability to work in partnering at all levels, internally and externally. The projects will include a diverse mix of projects in the Biopharma, Pharmaceutical, MedTech and Data Center sectors in Germany.

Responsibilities

Your role
  • Be the Electrical/Instrumentation Team Lead working as part of a multi-disciplinary project delivery team
  • Recruit, lead and mentor Electrical, I&C, automation and BMS engineering team members
  • Prepare detailed scope for projects based on Manufacturing/Process area requests and apply value engineering where possible
  • Identify and evaluate MCC's/Electrical installations, integrity and efficiency improvements
  • Define Electrical/Instrumentation requirements for capital projects and interact with internal & external stakeholders, vendors and contractors
  • Specification and procurement support of Electrical System Components including IT and Life Safety systems
  • Project execution will focus on safety, schedule, and cost management adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies and all applicable regulations and codes
  • Strict adherence to safe working practices as set out in the safety statement and other company safety rules
  • Ability to manage Electrical projects of varying complexity throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality departments to troubleshoot issues
  • Review project scope, budget and schedule

Qualifications

Your Profile

  • Ideally Dipl. Ing. or min. BSc/MSc Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Instrumentation engineering or technical/vocational equivalent
  • 10+ years' experience in delivering E&IC projects in a complex manufacturing facility ideally within a highly automated production environment; Knowledge of German code and safety regulations are a must have
  • Experience in Digital Project Execution is an advantage
  • Ability to read, understand and fault-find: Electrical schematics/systems, Instrument Loop Drawings/Panel wiring drawings during FATs or on-site commissioning
  • Knowledge and Experience of Hazardous areas and ATEX requirements would be advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services. This includes (but is not limited to) MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, small power, voice / data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing & bonding, hazardous areas, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication & organization skills with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels from project teams to site leadership team
  • Strong computer MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Project, Access, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Professional working proficiency in English and German
