THE OPPORTUNITY - OFFSHORE SENIOR HSE ADVISOR - CONTRACT ROLE

To provide direct, sustainable, reliable HSE support, guidance and appropriate challenge to operations

DURATION initial one year contract

ROTATION 2/3 rotation

MOBILISATION POINT Den Helder heliport

RATE 48-59.50 euro per hour depending on experience plus 110 euro per night
offshore

AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT...

Once in role, you will be accountable for:

  • Acts as an ambassador for Spirit Energy Life Saving and House Rules and HSE Expectations. Promotes a proactive and generative HSE culture through regular site visits and visible HSE leadership.
  • Provides support to operational assets by way of provision of HSE training; accident/incident investigation; system audits and the provision of advice on HSE best practice
  • Assists HSE Manager in the monitoring and reporting of HSE performance across operations seeking to identify trends in performance and means to provide improvements.
  • Take responsibility for delivering identified improvement HSE improvement plans
  • Assists with the maintenance of a positive safety culture across the operational assets and the maintenance of behavioural modification tools in use across the Field.
  • Assists in the maintenance of emergency response plans for the operational assets. Arranges - or assists in the arrangement of - exercises to test the veracity of those plans.
  • Support the suitable preparation of regulator interventions to ensure regulatory compliance, contribute as necessary to any required actions arising.
  • Ensures that requirements of Safety Cases are maintained within operations and any proposed modifications or changes to operational practices are compared to Safety Case before implementation.
  • Assists in risk assessment of larger scale work projects and provides advice on location or company specific requirements for such work prior to being undertaken. Reviews work packs for content and suitability before work commences.
  • Ensure company supply chain and contract management expectations are communicated and understood by relevant 3rd parties and stakeholders.
  • Active monitoring and engagement during contract execution

ABOUT YOU

You'll need to be educated to Dutch MVK/HVK or NEBOSH certificate as minimum. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate experience of at least 5 years working in the Dutch Oil and Gas sector. Must have right to work in the EU. You will also have a professional membership of a relevant institute or be working towards one.

Certificates needed are BOSIET, MIST or VCA and Offshore Medical.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • A passion for HSE and visible commitment to Spirit Energy's values and vision - demonstrated both internally and externally
  • Team player able to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Track record in developing and executing pragmatic solutions and influencing others to move towards consensus
  • Previous experience of working with technically qualified HSE and Technical (e.g. Well Engineering, Engineering and operational) professionals
  • Good knowledge of risk management, compliance and emergency response routines and requirements
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Embeds Spirit Energy's Values and associated behaviours into their everyday work and interactions, continuously learning and developing associated competencies and behaviours.
  • Great communication skills that informs/shares knowledge clearly and unambiguously and also implements and embeds change. Builds rapport and is able to influence in a constructive way / skilled at influencing decision makers on complex topics.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively, within their team and across the organisation and externally as required.
  • Networks effectively internally and externally, creating an immediate, positive and credible impression on others. Leads other parties in conversations on the important issues and use persuasive contributions to influence change and action.
  • Promotes a positive Incident Free Workplace culture by driving HSES and process safety performance and regulatory compliance through adherence to company standards & procedures, including the Spirit Energy CMAPP and HSES Policy.
  • Perform nominated emergency response role/duties and maintain the necessary competencies to perform these duties.
