Part Time - 22hrs per week, Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity within the Children's Strategic Commissioning Team for a part-time Transformation and Commissioning Officer role.

You will be joining the team responsible for commissioning a wide range of services for children, young people and their families. This includes placements for children in care, homes for care leavers, education for children with additional learning needs and help for disabled children and their families.

Your role would be to support the Transformation and Commissioning Manager to review, reshape and procure services for children and young people.

The work is varied, providing an opportunity to be creative in seeking new solutions and involves working with external providers, families and stakeholders to improve services and achieve successful outcomes.

Good communication, numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to use IT, including excel software, are key for this role. You will also need to be able to work flexibly to tight deadlines and previous experience in commissioning or monitoring services to improve outcomes would be an advantage.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
