Job Requirements
Establish and maintain project document management systems in line with Principal Contractor
procedures and client requirements.
• Control and manage the flow of technical, commercial, and contractual documentation between the
Principal Contractor, subcontractors, suppliers, and the client.
• Ensure correct document numbering, revision control, formatting, and metadata for all drawings and
documents.
• Distribute documents to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring version accuracy and timely
circulation.
• Monitor document approval workflows and follow up on outstanding reviews or responses.
• Maintain an up-to-date document register, ensuring traceability of all project documentation.
• Support compliance with project quality standards, including ISO 9001 and project-specific
document control procedures.
• Assist project teams in preparing handover documentation, including Operation & Maintenance
(O&M) manuals and as-built records.
• Provide training and support to project staff on document control systems and processes.
• Liaise with client representatives and external stakeholders on documentation requirements
Work Experience
Strong knowledge of document control processes and systems in an engineering or construction environment.
• Proficient in using electronic document management systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, Viewpoint, SharePoint, or
similar.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and
clients.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
• Familiarity with construction contracts (NEC, FIDIC, or similar) is desirable.
• Understanding renewable energy or BESS projects advantageous.
• Proven experience as a Document Controller within the construction, energy, or infrastructure
sectors.
• Experience working for a Principal Contractor preferred.
• Knowledge of battery energy storage, renewable energy, or electrical infrastructure projects
desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Relevant training or certification in document control is advantageous.
