This Position reports to:
R&D Team Lead

Mine hoists are a critical production unit in the underground mines and need to operate 24/7. Payloads of up to 70 tons can be hoisted at 18 m/s to fulfill the production goals. Today high payload mine hosts are used down to 1500m below surface. In the future high payload solutions are planned to hoist from at least 2000m.

This thesis will contribute to the development of next-generation mine hoists. The goal is to increase capacity, reduce energy usage, and minimize environmental impact.
