Your Role and Responsibilities

The ABB Training Center Berlin gGmbH is an educational service provider of ABB Germany for dual vocational training programs. The focus of vocational training lies in the fields of metalworking, electrical engineering, and mechatronics.

We support our customers from ABB business units as well as approximately 150 partner companies from Berlin and Brandenburg with a modern and high-quality basic training for their apprentices. Qualified and dedicated trainers who convey technical content as well as social skills through innovative teaching methods and individual support are the foundation of our success! Your Responsibilities

• Conduct practical and theoretical training of apprentices in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, automation/control technology, and computer science
• Impart knowledge and skills in accordance with the training regulations and internal training plan, and carry out performance assessments of apprentices
• Support apprentices in preparing for exams and in company-related as well as external projects
• Promote the development of technical, methodological, and social competencies among apprentices
• Collaborate with partner companies, vocational schools, and the responsible chambers of industry and commerce (IHKs)
• Prepare and implement new teaching and learning concepts related to digitalization

Qualifications for the Role

• Completed training as an electronics technician and a completed degree in IT or a comparable qualification in an IT-related field
• Ideally, further training as a state-certified technician or master craftsman
• Several years of professional experience in electrical engineering and an IT-related field, ideally in vocational education
• Knowledge in automation/control technology using VPS and SPS
• Excellent computer skills
• Fluent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken
• Independent and self-reliant working style with a willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills, high level of teamwork, and a strong service and customer orientation
