Thesis Work: Evaluation of time synchronization over wide-area wireless networks

ABB
At ABB, we help industries outrun - leaner and cleaner. Here, progress is an expectation - for you, your team, and the world. As a global market leader, we'll give you what you need to make it happen. It won't always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you'll never run alone. Run what runs the world.
This Position reports to:
R&D Team Lead
Time synchronization (TS) is essential for a plethora of automation use cases, e.g., farming and unmanned vehicles. However, achieving an accurate TS over wide-area wireless networks, such as 5G, is challenging due to, e.g., device mobility and large areas to cover. To accommodate TS needs, wireless networks introduce special features and mechanisms.
This thesis is to study and evaluate how a case-study wireless network supports TS.
