Job Description Summary

Advanced Technologies Internship for master's in engineering students is focused on supporting physics-based models for control systems design.

In this position you are required to apply control laws and thermodynamics concepts into real engine operating conditions while meeting business objectives.

You will be member of the advanced controls and PHM team focused on inventing the future of flight.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Execute tasks related to engineering activities
  • Deliver results on defined time frames with quality
  • Provide timely status to technical leaders
  • Collaborate with the RISE team and ensure on time delivery on Control Software Items
  • Effectively support the Engineering organizations, meeting the KPIs and business targets defined (such as OTD, FTY, Savings, budgets) as well as identifying leading indicators
  • Close collaboration with engineering organizations (local and global) towards a clear vision and short/long term priorities alignment
  • Maintain resource flexibility to adapt to the dynamic environment
  • Collaborate with global peers/teams towards a Lean execution
  • Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, and systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Participate as a presenter in technical findings. Demonstrating solid preparation, effective communication and open for feedback.


Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Student of master's degree in science, Electronics, Mechatronics or Systems Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience developing physics-based models for control design
  • Demonstrated understanding of requirement-based software development
  • Able to read flow and signal diagrams and perform comparative analysis based in system level requirements
  • Awareness of programming in ANSI C/C++
  • Skills or the ability to document, plan, execute, close, and manage tasks
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English
  • Familiar with interpretation of software architectures such as UML or P-diagrams
  • Familiar with CAD Software Programming such as SCADE, Matlab/Simulink
