We are currently seeking an Electrical Designer, reporting directly to Department Manager to join our team based in Bangkok.

About the opportunity we offer:

• Work under the supervision of Lead Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Designer on the projects for onshore or offshore feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design and EPC/ EPCM projects.
• Perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• Perform self-check for all the electrical drawings and 3D model generated.
• Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer to prepare engineering information to other departments.
• Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer to answer relevant site technical queries.
• Assist Lead Electrical Engineer to maintain discipline project drawing files and update as per Technip QA procedures.
• Groom young electrical designers / cad operators and provide advice to peers in his field of expertise.
• Primary involvement in a typical project includes:
• Prepare single line diagrams, protection and metering diagrams, control schematics, lighting loop diagrams, electrical substation layouts, E&I room layouts, interconnection wiring diagrams, electrical block diagrams under Electrical engineers guidance.
• Perform cable tray sizing calculations.
• Prepare lighting layouts, earthling and lightning protection layouts.
• Perform cable tray and cable routing design.
• Perform 3D modeling using PDMS/PDS for cable trays, cable tray supports and electrical equipment.
• Perform clash check for 3D models.
• Participate in 3D model review meetings.
• Generate / Extract cable tray layout drawings from 3D model and prepare 2D drawings of Cable tray and cable routing layouts.
• Prepare 2D cable tray and cable routing layout drawings using Auto CAD/ Microstation in the projects where 3D modeling is not done.
• Prepare electrical typical installation drawings.
• Prepare MCT schedule and layout drawings.
• Prepare electrical bulk MTO.
• Perform drafting check for deliverables generated by Senior CAD / CAD operators and coordination with the drafting group.
• Perform site visit (onshore and offshore), if required.

About you:

We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:

Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Technology (Electrical).

• Minimum six (6) years experience for Junior designer and eight (8) years experience for designer in Electrical engineering drafting in the Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemical, Chemical and related industries. For Electrical designers, experience should cover at least five (5) year of electrical engineering design experience in an engineering consultancy firm or EPC/EPCM contracting companies.
• Self-motivated, good attitude and willing to take responsibility.
• Competent user of AutoCAD software application and good working knowledge of AutoCAD design procedures.
• 3D modeling design software experience (PDMS & PDS) is an advantage.
• Offshore platform design experience is an advantage.
