While core focus will be in capital project management your expertise will also be pivotal across operational improvement, project management and involvement in development of whole of life asset improvement opportunities.It is a challenging and interesting role in which you will hold overall management and ownership of a portfolio of Capex Engineering projects - primarily along the East Coast of Australia, but Western and South Australia and New Zealand as well. You will be charged with achieving a culture of continual improvement, customer satisfaction, establishing performance standards and driving business Functional Excellence.Further and detailed accountabilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include:Development and delivery of multiple Capex Projects across our Aggregate, Concrete, Precast (Humes) and New Zealand (Cement) businesses.Visiting sites and assessing them for compliance against water saving and environmental metrics.Scoping necessary upgrades, and managing the capex request, engineering, tendering and contractor management through to project completion.Reporting project and overall program progress to the Holcim Executive Team or their representatives.Providing Capex technical, operational and commercial support across the Holcim business.Stakeholder engagement and problem resolution with internal customers and national peers.Provision of technical support, recommendations and advice to the Holcim Operations and Procurement teams.Utilising and maintaining Holcim Project Management systems and tools (SAP, Smartsheet, One PPM).Establishing and maintaining generic documentation for use in future projects e.g. Lessons Learnt, documentation management, specifications, design briefs.About you:To be successful in this role you must hold tertiary qualifications in construction, mechanical, electrical or related civil/structural fields plus further project management qualifications (or ability to attain PMI certification to Project Manager professional level).You will also have credible experience at leading projects or programs valued up to three million dollars and proven knowledge and experience of the operation of Concrete or Precast Concrete operations will be especially favoured.Sound knowledge of how Continuous Improvement programs operate and contribute to a culture of measurement-based Improvement is a requirement and you will need exposure to and understanding of lifecycle asset management as well as knowledge and experience in Smartsheet and SAP.
