Lead the structural oversight of major civil infrastructure projects, including bridges and tunnels. Ensure EPC designs meet international codes, safety standards, and project requirements while providing independent technical guidance to safeguard long-term performance and reliability.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Independently review and validate structural designs submitted by EPC Contractors for compliance with international codes, safety regulations, and project-specific requirements.
  • Assess material specifications, construction methodologies, and proposed sequences to ensure durability, suitability, and adherence to client expectations.
  • Identify potential design and construction risks, recommending mitigation measures to protect structural safety and performance.
  • Provide expert guidance on structural systems, load paths, and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate with project management, quality assurance, and design teams to ensure alignment between design intent and execution.
  • Advise on value engineering and design optimization while safeguarding structural integrity and lifecycle performance.
  • Support lifecycle planning and asset management by integrating O&M considerations into design reviews.
  • Review inspection, testing, and commissioning plans to verify structural compliance and performance.
  • Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and risk assessments for client decision-making.
  • Contribute to developing project-specific design standards, guidelines, and quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred).
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in structural oversight, review, or advisory roles on major civil infrastructure projects (bridges, tunnels).
  • Strong knowledge of international design codes (AASHTO, Eurocodes, BS, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in structural integrity assessment, risk analysis, and asset management.
  • Ability to critically review EPC contractor submissions and provide independent recommendations.
  • Familiarity with structural analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent technical communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure or PPP projects with multidisciplinary teams.
