Engineering Technician- Automation & Robotics build, install, troubleshoot, sustain automation & robotics systems in GE MRO Aviation shops. The candidate will work in Singapore Automation & Robotics Centre of Excellence.

From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview:
  • Installation and commissioning of Automatic & Robotics machines in GE Aviation facilities
  • Work with team to drive continuous improvement of machines and product processes in terms of accuracy, cycle time reduction & reliability.
  • Modify FANUC robot TP programs.
  • Setup new products on existing machines
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues implement solutions.
  • Conduct user training in the shop floors.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • 2-3 years of relevant hands-on work experience, experience & knowledge in MRO Component Repair process.

Required Qualifications:
  • At least an accredited Diploma in Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
  • Higher NITEC holders with 2-3 years relevant work experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • MUST be hands-on and work along with all levels
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Responsible, accountability and dependable of good work
  • Team player; able to work across functions and coordinate actions with different departments
  • Good time management and strong organizational skills, with ability to multi-task to meet deadlines and customer needs.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
  • Able to perform work under relatively stressful environment
