This Position reports to:
Service Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
- Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points.
- Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
- Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
- Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.
Qualifications for the role
- You have advanced expertise in Windows Server, virtualization (VMWare), firewall policies, Active Directory, and backup systems.
- You have strong skills in scripting, hardware commissioning, RAID configuration, and cybersecurity tools including penetration testing.
- You have experience in maritime IT systems, VSAT networking, automation, and complex data environments.
- You are flexible, responsive, and able to work independently or in teams under pressure with a problem-solving mindset.
- You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.
- You are available to travel worldwide, often on short notice, by plane, ship, or car.
