Job Summary
Reporting to the Country Manager Australia you will have overall responsibility for all Service and Operational deliverables within the country. You will utilize your operational management skills to improve performance in order to achieve business targets and increased market share in line with overall Country and Regional strategy. As Operations Manager you will develop and implement action plans in order for your team to Maximize operational excellence by demonstrating commitment to surpass internal and external customers' expectations. Your existing technical understanding of Solids Control, Waste Management, Disposal products and services will act as a foundation to you developing critical product knowledge in line with our technology strategy - establishing technology over commodity. Crucial to this role will be your ability to drive continual improvement processes, identifying and implementing KPIs and operational metrics whilst providing accurate and realistic forecasts to management team.

Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain strong business relationships with existing customers while supporting contractual requirements between client and NOV WSS Australia. Attending as and when required client office based or online meetings when requested.
- Accountable for the thorough implementation of operational initiatives working closely with the local team and clients to support ongoing active contracts.
- In collaboration with Country Manager Australia set achievable targets in identifying and implementing KPIs for service and rental metrics improvements.
- P&L accountability assisting with in-country budgets, revenues and outlined costs ensuring increased profitability is maintained in the business unit.
- Support Country Manager with weekly revenue and costs forecasting in line with current operational activities.
- Review and approve where required requisitions raised within JDE (Within DOA Limits).
- Assist with Inventory management to ensure sufficient stocking levels are maintained to support ongoing and upcoming activity.
- Fully assist Finance team where support is required to ensure on time payment of client invoices submitted within contractual terms and conditions.
- As part of the management team conduct regular (Quarterly Where possible) rig site visits to review ongoing NOV WSS field operations. This covers both on and offshore operations.
- Identify and raise opportunities and challenges in country and present proposals to create value and increase operational efficiency where possible.
- Support Internal Adhoc reporting requirements as and when required by the management team.
- Ensure NOV WSS product offering aligns with current and future business strategies of existing customers.
- Work effectively with other NOV group segments in the region.
- An element of out-of-hour working is required due to the nature of the business and the need to support ongoing operations
- Any other reasonable tasks or duties requested by Management team.

Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering / Business degree (or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar position with international knowledge
- Working knowledge of Oil & Gas service environment
- Ability to create and track individual metrics
- Working knowledge of Solids Control, Waste Management, and Disposal
- Computer literacy (good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- First language: English
- Experience in ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards (JDE)
