JOB DESCRIPTION

The Hardband Operator is responsible for performing hardbanding operations on drill pipe and related tubulars to extend service life and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role involves operating specialized hardbanding equipment, carrying out inspections, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor hardbanding equipment.

Apply hardband material to drill pipe/tool joints in line with specifications.

Inspect, measure, and verify quality of hardband applications.

Maintain accurate records of work performed.

Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of hardbanding equipment.

Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in hardbanding operations (preferred).

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.

Commitment to safe working practices.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
