Our client is a top-tier data centre construction specialist with a proven track record delivering medium to large-scale, high-specification projects across the UK and Northern Europe. With an expanding project portfolio, they're seeking an experienced Project Manager to help lead delivery across multiple critical builds.

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll oversee all stages of data centre construction-from initial groundworks through to final fit out, commissioning, and client handover. You'll operate as a key figure within the project delivery team, working closely with the Senior Construction Manager and reporting directly to the Project Director. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical insight, team coordination, and client liaison across live sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery across data centre builds in the UK and Europe
  • Drive programme performance, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial targets are met
  • Manage subcontractor activities, logistics, and on-site construction sequencing
  • Coordinate closely with design, commercial, MEP, and QA teams to maintain alignment and avoid scope drift
  • Monitor progress, chair regular site meetings, and escalate critical issues where required
  • Liaise with client teams and stakeholders, maintaining high levels of communication and service
  • Ensure project documentation, reports, and commissioning records are completed and compliant

Reporting Structure
  • Reports to: Project Director
  • Works closely with: Senior Construction Manager, Quantity Surveyor, MEP Manager, QA/QC Lead, Client Representatives

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing data centre construction projects, or equivalent mission-critical environments
  • Strong understanding of MEP integration and high-spec fit out requirements
  • Confident in programme planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication
  • Familiar with NEC/JCT contract administration and documentation control
  • Able and willing to travel across Europe for project delivery phases
  • Degree qualified in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
