Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans aligned with client requirements and industrial best practice.
- Work together with the Service managers to support the delivery of service projects works.
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones for large-scale refrigeration projects.
- Coordinate extensive project resources, including specialized personnel, heavy equipment, and significant material volumes required
- Monitor progress on complex, multi-phase projects, track critical milestones, and take necessary actions to mitigate risks and address issues in large-scale environments
- Champion safe working practices across all project phases.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, fostering strong collaboration between engineering, design, installation, and commissioning functions.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure seamless integration with internal teams.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and accountability.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings for multi-disciplinary teams working on major industrial installations
Commercial & Financial Management
- Monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
- Work closely with commercial and finance teams to ensure timely invoicing, reporting, and contractual compliance.
- Manage significant project budgets and collaborate with finance teams on high-value industrial contracts
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Uphold rigorous quality standards and ensure all deliverables meet regulatory and client specifications.
- Drive adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly around ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration systems.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and providing regular, transparent updates.
- Manage client expectations effectively, resolving challenges and ensuring satisfaction throughout delivery.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities for repeat business and future industrial projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline (advanced qualification desirable).
- Proven track record managing large-scale industrial refrigeration projects, ideally with exposure to ammonia and/or large scale CO₂ systems.
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, and industrial cooling technologies.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in planning, risk management, resource allocation, and financial control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to industrial refrigeration.
