Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- As part of GE Aerospace's RISE program, support the aerodynamic design, testing, and analysis of turbine components, specifically in the context of the Open Fan technology maturation and demonstration programs.
- Collaborate with global and diverse teams from multiple disciplines, including thermal, mechanical, and systems design.
- Communicate design risks to stakeholders to facilitate collective decision-making.
- Lead technical projects, prioritize activities to deliver program objectives on time, while meeting cost and quality requirements.
- Contribute to and lead technical reviews.
- Participate in problem solving and innovation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, with industry experience in turbomachinery aerodynamic design or analysis.
- Strong understanding of the physics and principles associated with aerodynamic design.
- Proven track record in delivering on complex programs and ability to work in cross-functional global team in multi-cultural environments.
- Demonstrated ability to advance technology and generate innovative solutions.
- Fluency in English.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in scale and full-scale testing, including test planning, instrumentation, test execution and data analysis.
