As a Design Engineer in Advanced Technology Thermal Systems Design team, you will be responsible for supporting thermal design of engine components such as combustor and turbine. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to development efforts in new technology projects for jet engines. In this role you will develop your knowledge and competences to identify problems, find solutions, and demonstrate thermal design and analytical skills.

The position is related with responsibility for executing all activities associated with repair development of Commercial and Aero derivative Engines Hot Structures : preparation, drafting & substantiation of repair procedures, answering customer inquiries, communication with repair shops.
On this position you will have opportunity to gain broad experience working on different engine modules in Hot Structures domain.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Development of repair and inspection technologies, process qualification, industrialization. Related program deliverables to repair facilities for new and updated processes.
  • Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • Understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.


Required Qualifications
  • This role requires experience in the Engineering/Technology & Repair Development.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
