Are you experienced in Energy project management? Why not join Aster Group and become a key stakeholder in our energy journey.

As the Project Manager for Energy, you will be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of a range of complex building and construction projects and programmes. You'll work with the wider Property Services team to ensure that you have access to all subject matter experts.

You'll take responsibility from concept design and feasibility studies to procurement and contract administration, right through to quality assurance and handover. So you'll really be on the journey end to end.

Key responsibilities in the role will include -

  • Specification writing and procurement lead for all projects and programmes in scope
  • Project management of internal and external resources, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ensuring Section 20 process are followed were relevant
  • Financial reporting and budget management for all projects and programmes in scope
  • Managing Contractor and\or Consultants delivering projects ranging from £50k to £2m value
  • Contractor performance reviews and management, ensuring adherence to core material ranges and service standards
  • Technical surveying and advice for all projects and programmes in scope

About you

You'll come to the role with demonstrable experience in managing building projects from inception to completion. You will also have a relevant qualification in building or a construction related discipline and memberships of RICS, CIOB or BEng, or equivalent.

You will understand PAS2035, retrofit solutions and delivering the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund.

You will have undertaken training in management skills including project management techniques. With experience of managing budgets in excess of £1m.

You'll consider your stakeholder management skills to be a great asset and will have experience of engaging Consultants, including setting out terms and conditions.

You will have a thorough understanding of current Health and Safety with reference to the building and construction sector including requirements of CDM.

Technically, you will have the ability to provide oral and written reports, and detailed specifications, schedules of work and tender documents. To do this you will use your commercial awareness with an understanding of financial and contractual considerations.

The role is considered a hybrid role, enabling you to base yourself from home if you wish. Travel will form part of the role, so you must be happy to travel within our operating region. You will require a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Our operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
