Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Graduate Procurement Assistant in our Delivery team, to be based in Chester or Swansea.
As a Graduate Procurement Assistant, you will have the opportunity to support the procurement and commercial delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects from concept through to construction and handover.
Our Procurement team works closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial colleagues to ensure the effective sourcing, contracting, and management of suppliers and subcontractors. We support our clients in the UK water sector by enabling efficient and compliant procurement of works, goods and services.

Responsibilities
Typically, you will assist and support the Procurement & Supply chain manager on multi-disciplinary projects with the following:
- Assist in the preparation and issue of tender documentation
- Support supplier onboarding and prequalification using platforms such as Achilles and the Common Assessment Standard
- Help coordinate the evaluation of supplier proposals and support contract award processes
- Assist in the drafting and administration of contracts, predominantly under the NEC suite
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contract terms
- Support procurement planning and scheduling aligned to project milestones
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure procurement aligns with project needs
- Help maintain procurement records and systems including spend tracking and vendor databases
- Contribute to market engagement and supplier relationship development
- Assist in ensuring procurement activities support sustainability, innovation and value for money
- Support governance processes including approvals, reporting and audit readiness
- Execute requisition process for business requirements, for (but not limited to) commodities, supplies, construction services and third-party rental equipment using the Binnies finance system (Focal Point)

Attributes
- Motivated to support impactful water and environmental projects through effective procurement
- Interested in working towards a professional qualification such as CIPS
- Hold a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related discipline
- Driven to develop and improve your commercial and procurement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programmes such as SharePoint, Excel, Word, Power Bi, and PowerPoint
- Able to work under time pressure and balance multiple priorities
- Previous experience in procurement, commercial or supply chain roles is an advantage but not required
