Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to form part of our site-based project execution team in the Otway Region.

The Role
Reporting to the Site Delivery Lead, the ideal candidate would act as the main interface between site and the Melbourne based engineering team. This position would also be expected to support the management of change, cost, schedule and execution documentation.
This position represents a great opportunity for a discipline engineer to gain further experience in site execution within a Major Hazardous Facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
• Site project manage a full execution Wood team and subcontractors to deliver projects from project definition/estimation, through detailed design, procurement, construction, hand over and close-out with responsibility for the financial and technical success of a project
• Interfacing with client engineering, operations and quality teams to ensure fit-for-purpose design, execution methodology & timely resolution of queries and compliance with relevant standards including those of the client
• Coordinating the production of project documentation and stewarding through approvals and execution
• Overseeing the procurement, expediting and receipt of materials and equipment within the Wood procurement system, including compliance to client site equipment management protocols
• Overseeing and coordinating construction activities using Client permitting system
• Manage technical documentation including work pack processing within the Wood CMS

QUALIFICATIONS
What makes you remarkable?
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering preferred
- Experience with directly managing a portfolio of small projects
- Experience working with regulatory requirements
- Experience managing Brownfields projects and demonstrably commitment to strong change and variation management, scheduling, scoping and reporting to senior management
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
- Previous site experience working closely with commissioning and construction teams will be looked upon favourably
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
- Proven capabilities in managing and motivating resources across engineering, operations and qualification/commissioning teams to deliver projects on schedule and budget
