The Opportunity:
Join the KBR team delivering critical capabilities as part of a Major Service Provider package supporting key Defence initiatives in the Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence domain. This role plays a vital part in supporting operational readiness and survivability across joint and air environments.
As the ICT Systems Administrator, you will provide essential support to Australian Public Service personnel, focusing on the administration and maintenance of secure ICT networks. These networks underpin mission-critical operations and require a proactive, solutions-focused approach to ensure reliability and performance.
You'll work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment across related projects, while contributing to the growth and reputation of the KBR team within the Defence sector.
Responsibilities:
Qualification, Skills and Experience
AGSVA security clearance - NV2 minimum, with ability to obtain TSPV Due to the nature of Defence work, applicants must be Australian citizens and hold an active NV1 security clearance .

Responsibilities:
- Provide network support to Commonwealth stakeholders
- Assist in implementing network performance monitoring systems
- Support upgrades of Linux-based systems
- Contribute to the administration of virtualisation environments
- Assist with desktop imaging system enhancements
- Support upgrades to JIRA-based services and network auditing tools
- Contribute to core hardware refresh activities
- Assist in implementing logging and network security systems
- Maintain and update system documentation
- Support the deployment of end-point security and white-listing solutions
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and mentoring of permanent staff
Qualification, Skills and Experience
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar ICT role
- Relevant ICT qualifications in network administration
- Expertise in JIRA administration
- Experience with VMware, NetApp storage, and SQL Server
- Strong Windows and Linux administration skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience
- Understanding of Electronic Warfare concepts (desirable)
